Features

Everything the wallet actually does

This page lists shipped capabilities. Each one is in the application today — nothing here is a roadmap item.

M5 Vault — 2-of-2 threshold signatures

A distributed key-generation ceremony produces two shares. Signing is an interactive protocol between them: DKLS threshold ECDSA on secp256k1 for Bitcoin- and Ethereum-family chains, and a threshold Schnorr ceremony on ed25519 for chains such as Solana and TON. Both run at vault creation, which is why one vault covers both curve families.

What this means for youThere is no seed phrase that can be photographed, phished or found in a drawer, and no single device whose compromise hands over your funds.

Chains do not agree on a signature scheme. M5 Vault runs both ceremonies when the vault is created — DKLS threshold ECDSA on secp256k1 and threshold Schnorr on ed25519 — so a single vault derives addresses across both curve families without ever holding a whole key.

Keyless onboarding

Sign in with Google and a vault is created for you through the same ceremony. There is no 12-word ritual to complete before the wallet becomes usable, and no browser extension prerequisite.

What this means for youYou can be holding assets in under a minute, and you still hold them — this is self-custody, not an account with a custodian.

A conventional wallet cannot be used until a recovery phrase has been shown, transcribed and confirmed — and that phrase then has to survive indefinitely. M5wallet reaches a usable, self-custodial wallet through the key-generation ceremony instead, with nothing to transcribe.

Cross-chain swap

Quotes are compared across providers and the route is executed from inside the wallet, spanning 17+ chains. Routing runs on M5's own service at swap.m5wallet.com.

What this means for youMoving between chains does not mean trusting a bridge site you found in search results.

A swap starts from what you already hold, compares routes offered by several providers, and executes the one that comes out ahead — across chains, without leaving the wallet.

Unified portfolio

An all-networks view aggregates balances across every chain family the wallet supports, rather than making you switch networks to find out what you own.

What this means for youOne screen answers what you have, wherever it lives.

Perpetual futures

Perpetuals trading is integrated directly, with an order book, position and margin state, funding, and chart tooling in the same application as your holdings.

What this means for youPositions and spot balances sit side by side instead of on separate platforms.

Markets and charts

Live prices, candlestick charts and watchlists for the assets you hold and the ones you are considering.

What this means for youYou can form a view without leaving the wallet or exposing your holdings to a third-party tracker.

dApp browser with WalletConnect

A built-in browser for decentralised applications, with WalletConnect for everything not visited directly, and URL risk checks before a connection is made.

What this means for youConnecting to an application does not require pasting your address into an unfamiliar page.

Earn — staking and yield

Staking and yield positions are opened and tracked from inside the wallet, on the chains where the wallet supports them.

What this means for youAssets can work without being handed to an off-platform service.

Hardware wallet support

Hardware wallets are supported alongside M5 Vault, and device communication is isolated in a background process rather than exposed to page contexts.

What this means for youAn existing hardware setup does not have to be abandoned to use everything else here.

Power tools

Bulk send, an address book, watch-only accounts for addresses you do not control, and hidden wallets for accounts you would rather not display.

What this means for youRoutine operations stop being manual, and not everything you track has to be something you can spend.

About the M5L figure shown in the app

The $0.10 value displayed next to M5L in the application is a configured reference price, not a market price. M5L is not listed on an exchange, there is no trading volume or market capitalisation behind that number, and it should not be read as a valuation. Nothing here is investment advice or an offer to sell.
